'Mastering The Art' is a series of live educational lectures specifically designed for clubs, schools, and other institutions to help students build awareness, knowledge and confidence in their photography as an art form. 

Who are you shooting for ?  - Understanding 'who' your photograph will be viewed by, and 'where' it will be represented is one of the biggest challenges in photography today, be that commercially, social media based, for competition, or simply for personal enjoyment. Each image we take can succeed or fail dependent on its content and the audience we place it in front of. In this lecture I will run through the psychology what makes images more or less appealing to certain audiences and why, how different colours affect the way we feel, and how element positioning plays such a huge part in that process. We can then use that information to be more targeted in our approach dependent on the impact we want to achieve.
