MASTERING THE ART

Woodland Photography

'Mastering The Art' is a series of live educational lectures specifically designed for clubs, schools, and other institutions to help students build awareness, knowledge and confidence in their photography as an art form.
Woodland is one of the most challenging aspects of Landscape photography because it typically requires skill and experience to be able to pick subjects out from a much larger and more chaotic canvas, whilst also requiring a good understanding of the environment we are shooting. This talk goes right from the basics of kit and lens choice, to location scouting and pre-planning, On through the core elements that make a shot stand out, to understanding and predicting different environmental conditions, and the different styles we can accomplish by adapting to those conditions. The talk concludes with tips and tricks on editing and a bit of myth busting.
